The campus opens doors to inquiry-based international education

TOKYO, JP / ACCESS Newswire / September 23, 2025 / Global Schools Group (GSG) inaugurated its newest One World International School (OWIS) campus in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, expanding its footprint in Japan.

The new campus opened with its first batch of 41 students, offering a progressive, inquiry-based international education. OWIS Tsukuba begins with Grades K-5 and will expand each year to become a full K-12 international school. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Founder & Chairman of GSG, and Mr. Sumit Mishra, Country Director for Japan & Korea, along with esteemed dignitaries including His Excellency Mr. Kazuhiko Ōigawa, Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, and Mr. Tatsuo Igarashi, Mayor of Tsukuba City.
